New popular sport emerging in African country – Street tennis

Street tennis is a new sport that is gaining popularity in Rwanda.

The sport was recently introduced to Rwandans following a bilateral partnership established between Rwanda and Barbados, and is planned to be expand to different parts of the country by the Rwandan government, AfricaNews reports.

Street tennis is said to be often played in recreation and residential areas, and the government wants to organize regional tournaments to attract tourists.

The sport is widely played on Barbados according to AfricaNews, and it has already been successfully exported to California, USA. Rwanda is the first African country to host the sport according to newspaper.
